    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: October 25, 2026

    Our commitment

    FINC Solutions protects the personal information entrusted to it, in accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25. This policy explains, in plain terms, what we collect, why, who it is shared with, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights.

    Person in charge of the protection of personal information

    The person with the highest authority within FINC Solutions acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information. For any question, request or complaint, write to contact@fincconsulting.com with “Personal information” in the subject line, or call +1 514 814-8498.

    Information we collect

    We collect only what is necessary, and only from you:

    • through our forms: name, email address, phone number (optional), organization, project type, indicative budget and the content of your message;
    • through the exchanges that follow (email, phone, meetings) if you become a client;
    • technically: your IP address is processed by our host to run the website and, in encrypted (hashed) form, for no more than 10 minutes by our form to block abusive submissions.

    We never ask for sensitive information. Please do not include any in your messages.

    Why we use it

    Your information is used only to:

    • answer your contact or free-study request, and e-mail you an acknowledgment of receipt;
    • prepare a proposal and follow up on the engagement if you become a client;
    • keep the website secure and prevent abuse.

    We never sell, rent or transfer your information. We do no marketing, profiling or automated decision-making with it.

    Your consent

    We obtain your consent in a manifest, free and informed way, for the specific purposes above: the form checkbox is never pre-ticked. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to contact@fincconsulting.com; we will then stop using your information, but we will no longer be able to process your request. Any new use would require separate consent.

    Who can access your information

    Only the team members handling your request can access it. We use a web hosting and email provider (GoDaddy) that hosts the website, delivers the form’s emails and hosts the secure database where your requests are stored, accessible only to our team. It acts on our behalf, under contract, and may not use your information for any other purpose.

    Communication outside Quebec

    Our host’s and its email service’s servers may be located outside Quebec, notably in the United States. Before communicating information outside Quebec, we assess the privacy factors involved and make sure it will receive adequate protection, as required by Law 25.

    Retention and destruction

    We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected. A request that does not lead to an engagement is deleted no later than 24 months after our last exchange. Information related to an engagement is kept for as long as our contractual, accounting and legal obligations require. It is then securely destroyed or anonymized.

    Security and incidents

    The website is fully encrypted (HTTPS), access to information is limited to authorized people and our form is protected against abusive submissions. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the people concerned, and we keep an incident register.

    Cookies and technologies

    This website uses no advertising or audience-measurement cookies, and no technology that can identify, locate or profile you. To improve the site, we count page views anonymously: with no cookie, no IP address and no identifier, we only keep daily totals (page viewed, referring website such as “google.com”, device type), which can never identify a visitor. This count is turned off when your browser sends the “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal. On your first visit, a window lets you accept, refuse or customize cookies; nothing optional is turned on without your consent.

    • “finc_consent” (essential, 12 months): remembers your choices and their date;
    • “finc_lang” (preference, 12 months, only if you accept it): remembers the language you chose;
    • Google Maps (third party, only if you click “Show the map”): Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its privacy policy.

    You can change your choices at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page, or delete cookies in your browser settings.

    Your rights

    Free of charge and at any time, you may:

    • know what information we hold about you and obtain a copy (access);
    • have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected (rectification);
    • withdraw your consent;
    • ask us to stop disseminating your information or to de-index any hyperlink giving access to it;
    • receive your information in a structured, commonly used technological format, or have it sent to a person of your choice (portability).

    Write to contact@fincconsulting.com. We reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity.

    Complaints

    If you believe your information has not been handled properly, first write to our person in charge of the protection of personal information at contact@fincconsulting.com. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).

    Changes

    We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page; any significant change will be announced on this website.

    Turn on only what you want. You can change your choices at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page.
